What is Pictocards?

Pictocards is a flashcard app for young children aged 1–6. Each card shows a watercolor illustration, a real photo, and plays the word aloud. It is designed to be calm, predictable, and joyful.

What age is Pictocards designed for?

Primarily 1–6 year olds, used together with a parent, teacher, or caregiver. The interface is child-safe: no ads, no pop-ups, no surprises.

Is Pictocards specifically for children with autism?

No — but it was built with neurodivergent children in mind. No flashing, no unexpected sounds, every transition is predictable. Many families with autistic children use it, alongside neurotypical children.

English and Swedish are fully supported now. More languages are on the way, with "coming soon" shown for those not yet available.

Is Pictocards free?

The Farm deck is always free, no sign-up needed. Additional themed decks are bought individually and are yours to keep.

What do I get with the Founders edition?

A one-time purchase that gives you every deck available today plus every new deck we release up to 7 June 2028, added to your library automatically at no extra cost. After that date, your existing decks stay yours and the Founders badge stays on your profile permanently. New decks released afterwards require separate purchase.

Do I need a subscription?

No. Pay once per deck, own it forever. No monthly fees.

Can I get a refund?

Our decks are digital and unlock immediately, so the usual 14-day cancellation right does not apply once you have agreed to instant access at checkout. But if a deck is faulty or not as described, contact us and we will put it right.

What data do you collect about my child?

None directly from your child. The information we hold relates to you, the adult account holder — mainly your email and what you have purchased. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

Do you sell my data or show ads?

No. We do not sell data and we do not use advertising or cross-app tracking.

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

On the web: go to Settings and tap "Delete account". On Android: open the app, go to Settings, and tap "Delete account". You will be asked to confirm by typing your email address. Once confirmed, your account and personal data are removed immediately. Purchase and accounting records are kept as required by Swedish law (Bokföringslagen), but are not used for any other purpose.

What devices does Pictocards work on?

Any modern browser — phone, tablet, or desktop. A native Android app is also available, with iOS coming later.

Does it work offline?

The Android app works fully offline from install. Offline support for the web version is on the roadmap.

Yes. Sign in with the same account and your decks follow you across web and Android.
